Lend a Helping Hand

Addison Tong

Addison was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, commonly known as A.L.L. on March 11, 2009. She had been sick “on and off” all winter and just could not fight anything off. Addison and her family spent 10 days in two different hospitals until we received this news. The very next day a port was inserted and Addison began treatment. In the past two years, Addison underwent twenty-six spinal taps and eight different types of chemotherapy.

Addison is a very strong little girl who continues to impress her mom on a daily basis. She has an older brother, Morgan who is 7, whom she enjoys playing and “hanging with” him as much as possible. She loves to watch Mickey Mouse, play dress up with princess costumes and loves getting her nails done. Her smile lights up the darkest room!!!

Update: Addison completed her two years of chemotherapy and is doing well!
